Do High Platform shoes and Stiletto High Heels
cause ankle sprains?
No, your imbalance is the cause. Feel 'n Fly does
not offer heels over 6 inches. All ankle sprains produce some level of pain at
the time of the injury. The joint will also feel tender and begin to swell. With a
more serious sprain, you will likely fall at the time of injury. You will also find it
difficult, if not impossible, to move or put weight on the injured ankle. Bruising
will also appear, and swelling may spread from the ankle to the foot and
perhaps to the lower calf. Can you afford to be out of work?
Ankle Sprain Remedy
ONE: The first 24-48 hours after the injury is
considered a critical treatment period and activities need to be curtailed.
TWO: For the first 48 hours post-injury, ice pack and elevate the ankle sprain
20 minutes at a time every 3-4 hours. The ice pack can be a bag of frozen
vegetables (peas or corn), allowing you to be able to re-use the bag.
THREE: During first 48 hours - Use compression when elevating the ankle
sprain in early treatment. Using an Ace bandage, wrap the ankle from the
toes all the way up to the top of the calf muscle, overlapping the elastic wrap
by one-half of the width of the wrap. FOUR: Keep your ankle sprain higher
than your heart as often as possible. Elevate at night by placing books under
the foot of your mattresses--just stand up slowly in the morning. REMEMBER:
More severe ankle sprain injuries, including complete tears of the ligaments
and fractures of the bone may need different treatment and rehab than a
simple ankle sprain. Rehearse and practice your platrorm shoes or
stilleto high heels often. Take over the counter pain medications like Aleve,
ExcedrinPM, Tylenol, ibuprofen or Motrin.
What size platform shoe, stiletto high heel or
pump heel should I choose?
In general, when purchasing stiletto high heels,
platform shoes, or pump heels with closed pointed toes, you will need to go up 1 size larger than you normally
wear in flat shoes, however this is not always the case. High heels fit differently
than tennis shoes.

How do I fix a scratch on my platform shoes,
stiletto high heels or pump heels?
Be adventurous and venture to carefully fill in a
scratch with a felt-tip pen in the same color.
How do I care for suede platform shoes
stiletto high heels or pump heels?
You’ll first want to apply a protectant to repel
water and stains. However, repellant only lasts for a while, so you’ll need to
reapply it periodically. Gently brush suede platform shoes, stiletto high heels,
and pump heels to remove loose dirt and restore nap on a regular basis. Stains
should be treated immediately with a solvent-based suede cleaner. If they
prove hard to remove, take the shoe to a shoe repair professional.
How can I prevent an accident on my slippery
platform shoe, stiletto high heel or pump soles?
Take them to the shoe repair place, get them to
replace the bottom part of your shoe with rubber. You can't tell anything is
different, it still looks really good and its so super grippy you can run in them!
